Join David Boone, professor of microbiology and immunology, Indiana University School of Medicine–South Bend, and adjunct professor of biology, Notre Dame, and David Acton, curator of photographs in the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, for a gallery talk. Boone and Acton will discuss the science and art of W. Eugene Smith’s 1949 photographs of the University’s Laboratory of Bacteriology (LOBUND).

Normally the meetings are every other Wednesday but due to Thanksgiving break starting on Wednesday (staff/faculty) that week we are moving the meeting up a couple days to Monday
This is a rescheduled meeting time due to illness of the host.

We are wading into having regular photo contests. Register and submit your work for the next theme starting December 1. The photos do not have to be created on campus.

Chris Dant will join us at our regular Wednesday meeting
Chris earned his Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Notre Dame and his Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas. His work has been shown regionally, nationally, and internationally—most recently at Sojourn Arts in Louisville, Kentucky and COPA Gallery in Bangkok, Thailand.
Chris will be discussing his recent work and answer questions.
